Where to Find Local Products

From the taste of an Oregon strawberry to the scent of locally grown roses, nothing can match the experience and taste of Oregon grown.

Oregon produces a variety of commodities that are widely available to consumers.  Use the resources below to find local producers and sellers of Oregon products.

Oregon Farmer’s Markets
Visit one of Oregon’s more than 125 farmers’ markets and experience local foods from across the state.  From Hood strawberries to July Flame peaches, to Marina di Choiggia squash, there’s always a new taste to discover.  In addition to the direct-from-the-farm produce, most markets offer music, food sampling and recipes, and cooking and children’s activities.  Find a market near you at www.oregonfarmersmarkets.org or pick up a copy of the market directory at area markets, tourism agencies, libraries and Chambers of Commerce.

Portland Area CSA Coalition
A CSA farming operation is a combined effort between a farm and a community of supporters. Each season harvest shareholders provide the money (and sometimes other resources) needed for the farm to operate by purchasing a “harvest share” of the season’s harvest. In turn, the farm distributes to the shareholders the entire production of the farm: a wide variety of seasonally harvested fresh produce, usually on a weekly basis, throughout the growing season(s). Visit the Portland Area CSA Coalition to find a CSA farm near you.
