4B Farms – I am Oregon Agriculture

Me and my family, three generations of 4B Farms.

I am Oregon agriculture.

A newly planted and growing hop field on our farm.

My name is Lori Pavlicek and I’m the 4th “B” in 4B Farms. Along with myself, my parents, Jim and Donna Butsch, and my brother, Jeff, make up 4B Farms. We grow wheat, specialty seeds, grass seed, hops, garlic for seed and fresh market, filberts (hazelnuts) and a variety of vegetables for processing. Our lives are made up of planting, growing, harvesting, and relaxing on the farm; it has been a most fulfilling life. We are not only providing for our families, but for our employees and their families and, being a part of “Oregon agriculture,” providing for the world. What a big responsibility! When very few things, today, make sense, the life cycle on the farm leaves no questions. Here’s to the Oregon farmer!

A grass seed field, and a hop field in the distance, both ready for harvest.
