E.Z. Orchards – I am Oregon Agriculture

I am John Zielinski, Mark, Kevin and I are fourth-generation owners of our family’s farm E.Z. Orchards located near Salem.

We are Oregon agriculture.

Our names are Mark, Kevin, and John Zielinski and we own E.Z. Orchards, a fourth-generation farm located just northeast of Salem. We grow pears, apples, peaches, hazelnuts, and pumpkins. Our crops are sold in several different ways; direct to the public through our Farm Market, to local stores, to a large packing house and to processors. Though most of our apples and pears go for fresh market, some are processed into canned pears and applesauce or juice. We also produce several types of hard cider which are sold here in the Northwest.

E.Z. Orchards Farm Market has been a great way to sell some of our fruit directly to consumers, and we also sell fruits and vegetables from numerous other local farmers at our market. Our long history in the Willamette Valley has helped us source many types of local agricultural products, everything from fruit and vegetables to local artisan cheese, milk, goat’s milk and preserves.

Each October we invite the public onto our farm for our annual Harvestfest; with pumpkin patches, hay rides, a corn maze, a petting zoo, horse rides, and more. Because it is important to educate the next generation, we offer school tours that give school children the opportunity to see a working farm and how things grow. Through the years we have strived to make E.Z. Orchards a sustainable farm, we have been transitioning to drip irrigation and a solar array to provide electricity for our farm market. We consider ourselves stewards of the land and are blessed to live here in the Willamette Valley.

Kids pick pumpkins at our Harvestfest, held every October at E.Z. Orchards.
